Currently, since September 2020 I am working in Al Sawai polyclinic in Quriyat/ Muscat governorate as a specialist in general surgery treating outpatient surgical cases & performing daycare surgical procedures. I’m also covering the GP clinic when it’s required.
As a specialist in general surgery doing various outpatient & inpatient surgery duties, emergency surgery duties, emergency & elective surgeries involving both open surgeries & laparoscopic general surgery e.g., laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy & hernioplasty, laparotomy, etc…
* In charges of burns unit performing total burn care including resuscitation, escharotomy, tangential excision of burn Escher tissue & skin grafting. Running burns & plastic surgery clinic following up burns & plastic surgery cases.
In charge of wound care in Nizwa hospital including management of pressure ulcers by applying advanced wound dressing & negative pressure wound therapy.
As a specialist in general surgery carrying out both emergency & elective duties, inpatient & outpatient care, and various open surgeries whether emergency or elective cases including laparotomy, appendectomy, breast lump excision, Breast microdocectomy, open ventral hernia-plasty & open pre-peritoneal inguinal Hernioplasty, intermediate anal surgeries.
As part of the fellowship training program and in addition to general surgery, I did rotations in the emergency department & surgical ICU, urology & plastic surgery departments.
